Customer Information Bulletin 441: June 2025

Welcome to the Customer Information Bulletin for June 2025.

This month we will cover:

  • Pause on new electronic document capability; and
  • End of financial year lodgement support.

Pause on new electronic document capability

The new electronic document capability that was referenced in CIB 440: May 2025, has been paused under the advisement of PEXA.

Landgate have been made aware of the below message from PEXA:

"On May 12 PEXA enabled the following documents in its digital exchange platform in WA:

  • Transfer by Mortgagee with a Duty Assessment over Title(s)
  • Property (Seizure and Sale) Order with a Duty Assessment over Title(s)
  • Transfer Sale for Rates with a Duty Assessment over Title(s)

We have identified an issue with these documents which means that they are currently unavailable in digital format.

Please note common Transfer (Sale/Purchase) transactions are unaffected.

Our team is actively working on resolving the issue to enable these documents. We’ll update you as soon as these documents are available to be transacted electronically.

PEXA advises customers who wish to lodge any of the above documents to continue the manual process."

If you have any questions or require further information, please contact the team at PEXA.

End of financial year lodgement support

As we approach the end of the financial year, we understand that this can be a busy period for many of our customers.

To better support you during this time, on Thursday, 26 June, Friday, 27 June and Monday, 30 June 2025, the team will be offering additional lodgement options.

Electronic Lodgement

  • We recommend and encourage electronic lodgement of eligible documents as they typically offer lodging parties such as lawyers, settlement agents, lenders and some Government organisations a faster way to lodge and register documents compared to paper documents.
  • More information on electronic lodgement can be found on our eConveyancing page.

Express Lodgement Terminals

  • Three express terminals will be available at our Perth Office for customers who have up to three documents to lodge.
  • Customers using the express queues must pay via EFTPOS or cheque.  Please note that cash facilities will not be available at these terminals.
  • Additional terminals will be setup for customers lodging more than three documents.

All documents presented for lodgement must pass our lodgement acceptability checklist, verified by a Landgate authorised officer.

To assist you in ensuring compliance and reducing wait times, the link to resources such as the Lodgement Acceptability Checklist and Land Transactions Procedure Guide are below:

Please note our strict lodgement hours from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Documents will not be accepted for lodgement outside of these hours.

It is important to ensure compliance at the time of lodgement. Should any documents be subject to a non-compliance report, they must be made compliant before 4:30pm on 30 June 2025 to be lodged on that day.

We trust that these options will assist you in your lodgement processes during this busy period.

If you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
